Foreman responsibilities
- Report project progress to superintendents
- Develop, organize and track a production schedule for workers
- Supervise all construction workers
- Be the liaison between construction workers and superintendents
- Ensure that a project is adequately staffed
- Assign tasks to construction workers and follow up on progress.
- Ensure that the project is staying on or under budget
- Read and interpret construction documents and blueprints, and be able to translate the information to other parties
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
- Bilingual (preferred but not required)
- Ability to solve disputes between workers
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to negotiate
- Deep knowledge of the construction industry and processes
- Perform quality checks on construction equipment
- Have extensive knowledge of OSHA and other safety requirements
